Dekalog is a Polish drama TV mini-series released in 1988. It comprises 10 one-hour movies, inspired by a decalogue of 10 commandments. Every short movie explores characters facing 1 or many ethical or moral dilemmas because they live in the austere housing project. The story was conceived when the screenwriter watched the artwork of the 15th century that illustrated the commandments. The 10 movies draw overarching structure and thematic inspiration, deftly with the existential and moral questions that concern death, truth, love, hate, and the time passage from the 10 commandments.
